Here is the fabric that I picked out for my tiered skirt. I can't decide whether to do two or three tiers. This one from Banana Republic is what I had in mind first:

I saw this one in Bebe this weekend which made me think two tiers might be more sophisticated and less "trendy." My boyfriend liked it more too. This one from BCBG is a bit longer and not as ruffly, but kind of the same style.

So what do you think? I'm going to try to make it tomorrow, without a pattern...but I need to decide how many layers. So...two or three??
It was a busy weekend over here. We spent a lot of it at several car dealerships, searching for a potential second car. So far, we've found the car we think we like, but it's a process getting everything in place. I also need to get my drivers license, so today I studied for a while to take the written test. I feel like I'm 15 again, but I haven't driven in about 6 years. But it's like riding a bike, right? =P
Between the interviews and car searching and babysitting, I haven't had a lot of time for crafting. I managed to finally get Karilan's kangaroo finished! It is really interesting to see a mini version of this little girl, but she turned out pretty cute! I haven't been taking pictures of the special orders, but I might break down tomorrow and take a picture of her...hehe.
My vote is for two tiers.
ReplyDeleteI also like the two tiers. I think it is more classy looking.
ReplyDeleteOk, so far two for two, and two for three....plus my bf says two and I say three...it's going to be a tough decision!
ReplyDeleteI like the two tier too but I like the randomly placed pleats way better on the 3 tier skirts. Use the pleats from the first skirt for the second skirt.
